Samsung has yet again put together one of the top televisions on the market. The Samsung LN52A650 52-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color has amazing features that are rivaled by few.
This 52-Inch model has to be one of the best big screen LCD models on the market. It has picture clarity that is rivaled by few and samsung has added even more features than it has offered in the past which was hard to do with there already top of the line products.
The Samsung LN52A650 52-inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color is a great addition to have considering the blazing-fast 4ms response time and rich connectivity features to make your viewing experience a pleasurable one. When shopping for a new LCD TV with HD capabilities Samsung has really found a winner this time.
As two of the most important determining factors in overall picture quality, contrast and brightness levels achieve new heights in this latest generation LCD panel. Samsungs new LCD TVs give the most stunning realistic picture quality ever from a flat panel set. Few LCD TVs rise to the high standards the site sets for that award, but the Samsung LN52A650 qualifies.
To ensure the most realistic, life-like picture available, the Samsung LN52A650 is built with DNIE (Digital Natural Image Engine) technology. This engine delivers a crisp, life-like image that is closer to film.
The Samsung LN52A650 is built with the latest in HD innovation, making it a must have for people looking to upgrade to top-of-the-line home theater equipment. The TV retails for little over $2099 USD. This price includes not only sharpest, clearest, fullest picture available on the market, but it includes the TV?s a 52-inch screen and sleek design, which is matched by few on the market.
Samsung’s LNA650 series incorporates the company’s Touch of Color design scheme. Instead of the standard glossy black frame, the LN52A650 sports dark-red accents that suffuse the entire frame, but are most prominent along the top and bottom edge and either side.
Other eye-catching elements include a layer of transparent plastic, which is visible along the extreme edges on all sides, and Samsung’s trademark shiny screen (more on that below). The photos above just can’t capture how red the Touch makes the frame appear, especially in bright rooms, and if red isn’t your favorite color, you’re out of luck–no other colors have been confirmed for this year, despite the company touting a veritable rainbow at CES. In its favor, the red frame didn’t really detract from the color fidelity of the picture.
The ATSC and QAM internal tuner actually work quite well, including a great signal-strength meter; the scan automatically puts the channels where you expect them and even removes the encrypted channels from the lineup.
Samsung also provides a very nice built-in info bar on the internal tuner which includes a bar graph of the position of a show, audio information, end time, and the call letters of the channel, similar to what a digital-cable guide display looks like.
Pros: Amazing picture, beautiful style, great value for money - same TV with 1:15k contrast ratio (this one has 1:50k) cost just 8 months ago $3500. Never seen such quality in a TV
There’s not much to complain, Samsung could use a slightly better anti-glare coating on their product although most people will not even notice. Without hard sunlight in the room, the glare is no problem. The remote is typical Samsung, which isn’t that fantastic.
The only real competition this product has are the other sizes of this model. Samsung makes a state-of-the-art product matched by none of other manufactures.
